What I do with my shih tzu is stay outside with him for 20 to 30 minutesThen he has anough time to got to the restroom!
I have a 4 yr old ShihTzu who is still piddling in the house. Even when I leave the doors open for him to freely amble outside, he’ll still piddles indoors. I’m at my wits end, PLEASE, PLEASE, ANYONE GOT ANY HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS?
They are, Chinese royalty bred them however the Japanese imperials and the rebel Chinese killed them and use them as coats. But few Japanese men took them home and bred them, and few English men took some and bred them. All shih tzus in the world are traced back all to the same 14 original ancestors. Mine so happens to be Tibetan.

My Shih Tzu will not eat dog food. Ever since the first day we got him. I tried the old “he’ll eat when hes hungry enough” thing by just leaving his food out. But he went days without eating! We brought him to the vet, and he said we better feed him something or else! So he eats people food. Over the years we tried to get him on dog food, but it was the same story everytime!
Other than that, hes a great dog!

is 12 hours too much for a shih tzu not to go outside and pee? i overslept this morning and took him out at 11am (i took him out around 10-11pm last night), and i see no signs of him peen inside the house. or am i foolin myself lol? someone let me know, thanx!
We found a shih tzu on our backyard not too long ago. Little guy was clearly neglected. 18 months old never been groomed in his entire life, never been house broken.
So we’ve got one of those plastic playpens for him where we put him and his litter box when he has an accident. If he uses his litter box or goes outside he gets a treat. We’re down to 1-2 accidents a day comparing to the 10 when we first got him. He mostly uses that litter boxthough, which is fine with us.
and when i open the door and my shihtzu accident sneaked out , it wont come back when i called her, i had to chase her for hours..it happened many times, cany someone give me some advice? and i cant walk my dog without a leash..but ive seen pplz walk their shihtzu without an leash and they seem follow pretty tightly, plz HELP SOMEONE !

My Shih-Tzu is 13, we didn’t train him at all besides fetch, he was fine on a leash and didn’t run., he didn’t chew on stuff he never went to the bathroom in the house, it’s really weird, now we have a 1 year old puggle, she took months of training, and get’s on her brothers nerves, but he yells at her whenever she is having a frap, being to loud, or being to nosy, or if she bites me, if she bites me, lookout, your getting pinned on the floor Ms. Puggle, super smart,and obedient dogs, shih tzus!
